Webex: Real-Time Observability & Analytics with Apache Pinot™

Overview

The Cisco Webex Data and Analytics platform is deployed across multiple Global Data Centers, supporting Webex Calls, Meetings, Devices, and Messages for several million users. Today, they use Apache Pinot as their core layer to drive real-time insights for their end-users as well as operational monitoring for Webex operations for a few key use cases.

In this talk, Sachin and Vaibhav share with Tim why they picked Apache Pinot as their real time analytics layer as opposed to other solutions like Elasticsearch and Clickhouse. They discussed how Pinot helped reduce their storage footprint and significantly improve their latency compared to the legacy solution built using ElasticSearch and pre-aggregation.
